I’m so glad you’re here. Every piece in my shop is handmade from reclaimed wood, personally sourced and crafted with care in east central Alabama. Because I run this little business on my own, I offer three types of shopping experiences to keep things slow, joyful, and meaningful: Ready-to-Ship Items, Pre-Order Items, and Custom Orders. More information about those and shipping policies/preferences are below!
📦 Ready-to-Ship Items
These are already made and ready to head out the door — just waiting for their forever home.
Ships within 3-4 business days
Includes staple favorites like welcome leaners, risers, and classic door hangers
Limited quantities — restocks happen in small batches
💡 Look for “Ready to Ship” in the product title or description.
🍂 Seasonal & Holiday Collections (Preorders)
These limited releases show up 3–4 times a year and are made to order.
Preorder opens 4–6 weeks before the season
Orders ship by a specific date listed in each item
When the window closes, that collection is done for the season
A few extras may be listed as ready-to-ship (but when they’re gone, they’re gone!)
🗓️ Example:
“Preorders open through October 15. Ships by November 1.”

Accepted as my schedule allows
Typical turnaround: 2–3 weeks
Great for names, custom sayings, favorite colors, special sizes, etc.
Once monthly slots fill, customs will pause to keep things joyful (for both of us!)

📦 Understanding Shipping Costs
At 85th & Rust, we keep shipping simple and honest — but we know it can still be confusing. Here's what to expect:
Flat Rate Shipping: Many of our handcrafted items (especially smaller decor) use a simple flat-rate shipping fee, based on size and weight. You’ll see this added at checkout.
Shipping Included: Some larger or specialty pieces include shipping in the listed price. When that’s the case, the product description will clearly say “Shipping Included.”
Custom Orders: Shipping for custom orders is calculated based on the final size and weight of your finished piece. We'll confirm this with you during the order process.
💡 We call this a “hybrid shipping model” — so you’re never overpaying or under-informed. If you're ever unsure, feel free to reach out before placing your order!
🚗 Local Delivery & Pick-Up
For customers local to Alexander City, Alabama, I’m happy to offer local delivery or pick-up options for most orders!
To keep things smooth and safe, please note the following:
Local delivery means meeting at a public location (like a shopping center, church, or popular parking lot) — not home drop-offs.
You’ll see a Local Pick-Up option during checkout — just select that, and I’ll reach out to coordinate a time and place that works for both of us.
